For this Microsoft poster campaign, we needed to stick within the company's visual identity guidelines, but we also wanted to put something together that people wouldn't simply walk past.
BACKGROUND:
Hard Luck supported Microsoft in an internal campaign to raise participation in the Office Insider Product Champion program. Office Insiders are hardcore Microsoft Office users, and participating gives them early access to software updates and features that are still in development, as well as access to Microsoft's developers. Their feedback offers a valuable window into the user experience. The challenge for Microsoft was to get more software developers to sign up to interact with Office Insiders and solicit feedback from them. Hard Luck was tasked with creating a series of posters to be displayed in product team offices.
the results:
Some of the designs that hit the cutting room floor were pretty amusing, and if you get in touch with us we'll be happy to show cbdtop.club them to you. But ultimately, we settled on a superhero concept that also keeps in line with Microsoft's internal design guidelines.
Software developers, we were told, aren't accustomed to dealing with customers directly and often don't want to. The attempt here was to point out that Office Insiders are genuinely excited about the work the developers are doing—to them, they're superheroes..
Following through with this idea, we completed a full set of posters—one for each product team's work areas.
